Dr. Stephen Forsha has 15 years of experience in higher education where he served as a professor of business teaching ethics, leadership, and management to undergraduate through doctoral level students. He also served in a variety of administrative roles including that of Campus Director, Dean, and Associate Provost.
Before entering higher education, Dr. Forsha served for 22 years in the United States military. His service included tours in the middle east and at locations throughout the United States where he worked in conventional and special weapons/explosives, CBRNE and WMD tactical operations, disaster preparedness and humanitarian relief operations. He is a former instructor of conventional and special weapons and counter-improvised explosive device (IED defeat.
He has presented at various conferences including the Philosophy of Management’s International Conference, the Academy of Management’s Annual Conference, the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry’s Annual Convention and the Midwest Academy of Management’s Annual Conference presenting original research in the areas of leadership, decision-making during crisis and influences of psychological coping strategies on first-responder decision-making.
He has consulted with a variety of organizations including American Outdoor Brands, Hartwig, Inc., the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development, and the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Dr. Forsha has completed post-graduate study through Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, the University of Edinburgh, and at University College Cork focused on argumentation with evidence, the theory, science and practice of intellectual humility, and Gaelic literature and culture.
